Who We Are
A Cambridge-based, family-run cleaning company delivering high-quality service with customer satisfaction at the heart of everything we do.
Built on experience and expertise
A family-run business driven by knowledge, quality and trust.
Art of Clean was founded in 2005 by Pierre and Laurence de Wet, with a simple focus on doing things properly. From the start, the company has focused on strong values, combining knowledge, workmanship and genuine customer care.
That commitment to high standards led to Pierre achieving certification with the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in 2007, one of the most recognised organisations in the industry.
Over the years this dedication has been recognised with awards, including a Special Recognition Award from the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA) in 2018 and the 2020 UK Enterprise Award for Best Floor and Furnishing Cleaning Company in Cambridgeshire.
Today, Art of Clean is one of the largest specialist cleaning and restoration companies across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties, trusted by homeowners and businesses who value reliable, high-quality results.
Delivering outstanding service with a clear focus on people and results
Our mission is simple: to deliver the most outstanding service experience every time. We aim to be the go-to, friendly and most recognised specialist cleaning and floor restoration company across East Anglia — known not just for the results we deliver, but for the way we look after our customers.
We also believe in sharing our knowledge, helping people care for their homes and furnishings with confidence through our Knowledge Centre and guidance from founder Pierre de Wet.

Bringing the team together
At Art of Clean, we believe in recognising the people who make everything possible. To say thank you, we hosted a Family Fun BBQ for our teams across Art of Clean, Art of Flooring, Farthings and UFC.
As part of the day, we held a spin-the-wheel competition linked to our newsletter, with winners from Newmarket receiving a fruit and veg box kindly arranged by the Cambridge Fruit Company. It was a great day for everyone to relax, have fun and feel appreciated.
